The requirement of color state for color materials used in masterbatch is briefly described

(1) the color can not react with resin and various additives, strong solvent resistance, small migration, good heat resistance, etc. That is to say, masterbatch cannot participate in various chemical reactions. For example, carbon black can control the curing reaction of polyester plastic, so carbon black material can not be added in polyester. PLASBLAK? PE6021 contains high concentration of carbon black, combined with the different quality of the reconstituted resin, the amount of masterbatch is 10-15% less than the current products, and the same coloring effect is achieved. In order to maintain the basic mechanical properties of plastic, such as tension strength and because of the high molding temperature of plastic products, so the color material should not decompose and change color under the conditions of molding heating temperature. Generally, inorganic pigments have good heat resistance, while organic pigments and dyes have poor heat resistance, which should be paid enough attention to when choosing color materials.

(2) the dispersion of the color material, tinting force should be good. The appearance performance of the product will be affected when the color material is not evenly dispersed. When the colouring force is poor, the amount of colouring material will increase and the material cost will increase. The same color material in different resins in the dispersion and coloring power is not the same, so in the choice of color material should pay attention to this point. The particle size of the color material is also related to the dispersity. The smaller the particle size of the color material is, the better the dispersity and the stronger the coloring power is.
